Company History
Avenell Engineering Systems Ltd began trading in Rabaul ENBP in 1997 as an electrical contractor and wholesaler.
Its predecessor, New Britain Electric was established in 1956. The company originally operated across the New Guinea Islands and was a major contractor on the construction of the Bougainville copper mine before the Bougainville crisis.

Since its establishment, AES has extended its capability to become an integrated, multi operational organisation providing services and products across civil construction, earthmoving and haulage, prefabricated construction, electrical contracting, timber processing and furniture manufacture.
With many years experience in operating in PNG, AES specialises in project design, management and execution tailored to PNG conditions. Remote locations and specialist briefs are no obstacle.
AES understands the value of sourcing innovative, products capable of withstanding tough conditions.
